While Apple is busy with iOS 6 maps, Google Maps goes underwater with panoramic images

While Apple is trying hard to fix the issues with Apple Maps in iOS 6 to point out correctly the places on the earth's surface, Google is taking users the depths of the oceans with its first underwater panoramic images in Google Maps.
"With these vibrant and stunning photos you don’t have to be a scuba diver—or even know how to swim—to explore and experience six of the ocean’s most incredible living coral reefs. Now, anyone can become the next virtual Jacques Cousteau and dive with sea turtles, fish and manta rays in Australia, the Philippines and Hawaii," Brian McClendon, VP of Google Maps and Earth posted on Google's Lat-Long blog.
Google has partnered with The Catlin Seaview Survey to make the images available using Google Maps' Street View feature.
